Native to the Maluku Islands (spice islands) in Indonesia, nutmeg has a flexible flavour that will enhance many types of food, especially sweet dishes. Try adding to b?chamel sauce or ricotta pasta fillings to add extra flavour. Add to mashed potatoes or creamy potato bakes. Use sparingly towards the end of the cooking process.
