Turmeric tea is a great winter warmer, circulatory stimulant, immune booster and digestive aide and tastes great.
Ingredients per cup
1t of chopped fresh turmeric or 1/2t dried turmeric
1t chopped fresh ginger
250mL of water
1t of organic butter
1t of coconut oil
1t of manuka honey
Place turmeric, ginger and water in a pot or similar and gently heat for 10 minutes. Strain if you like or if you want a really strong brew leave as is.
After 10 minutes add butter,oil and honey blend with stick blender or in a blender until it is well mixed and slightly frothy.
Variation include using your choose of milk instead of water or milk/water mix - i like it with coconut milk also.
